HUMAC NORM Isokinetic Dynamometer
The gold standard in isokinetic testing and rehabilitation — the first choice of Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers, Orthopaedic Surgeons, and Exercise Scientists worldwide.
Description
The HUMAC NORM can be called a few different things, but no matter what you call it, it's your BEST solution for measuring and improving human performance in the clinic, athletic training room, and research laboratory.
Sometimes referred to as an Isokinetic Machine, sometimes an Extremity System. The fluid name doesn't change the fact that, in one machine, you'll get 22 isolated-joint movement patterns, 4 resistance modes (isokinetic, isotonic, isometric, and passive), and numerous reports to meet the measurement and exercise needs of today's clinicians and researchers.
A HUMAC NORM test takes the guesswork out of documenting the need for treatment, patient progression, and return-to-work or return-to-sport decisions. Bilateral deficits either exist and need to be reduced — or they do not. Objective, reproducible data gives you that answer.
The HUMAC NORM can be used from Day 1 of post-operative care, with 22 different movement patterns covering the shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, ankle, and back. Optional attachments allow trunk extension/flexion, work simulation, and closed kinetic chain patterns.
No matter the patient's current phase of rehab — acute, sub-acute, or return to sport — the HUMAC NORM has an application that fits their plan of care.

What Makes It Better?
The Gold Standard Since 1982
Developed by Computer Sports Medicine Inc. (CSMi), the HUMAC NORM has been the first choice of clinicians and researchers in over 30 countries for more than 40 years — with a track record of durability and performance unmatched in isokinetic testing.
Over 30 Built-In Reports
The HUMAC NORM software includes over 30 built-in reports covering strength testing, bilateral deficit analysis, patient progression, and return-to-work or return-to-sport documentation — giving you everything you need without add-ons.
Day 1 Post-Op Ready
With 22 different movement patterns and passive CPM mode, the HUMAC NORM can be used from Day 1 of post-operative care — supporting the full continuum from acute rehab through to return-to-sport clearance in one system.
Objective Bilateral Deficit Assessment
Stop estimating and start measuring. The HUMAC NORM quantifies strength symmetry between limbs with objective, reproducible data — giving clinicians, surgeons, and athletes a clear, defensible basis for every progression and discharge decision.
Fits Every Phase of Rehab
From continuous passive motion in the early acute phase through to eccentric isokinetic power testing at return to sport, the HUMAC NORM's four resistance modes and 22 movement patterns support every stage of rehabilitation without changing systems.
